Two Hour Tulip Purse Bouquet Pattern by Janice Pope
Great new pattern from our very own Janice Pope, Anything but Boring!
Custom design a purse to your specifications! Four sizes to choose from, number and type of pocket(s), closure style and strap width and length are all decisions to make your purse perfect for you. It can even be reversible!
Ergonomically designed so that it will not tip over, no more lost cell phones and wallet!
Supplies for either of the 2 smaller purses:
Finished size 6x6x6 (15cm square) grapefruit size
or 7x7x7 (18cm square) melon size (pictured in Pattern)
1/2-yard (or 1/2 meter) fabric for outer purse, straps, and optional outer pocket. More may be needed if directional, or fussy cutting the design.
1/2-yard (or 1/2 meter) fabric for the lining.
5-inch (13 cm) square scraps for inner pocket (2 for one pocket, 4 for 2 pockets).
1/3 yard (31 cm) fusible fleece or batting.
1/3 yard (31 cm) iron on interfacing (such as decor bond).
Cording for fastening, about 4 inches (10 cm) and
Large glass bead or shank button (1/2 inch or more, 2 cm) for closure and Button Twist or strong thread to attach it.
Velcro for closing inner pocket, if desired
Supplies for either of the 2 larger purses:
8x8x9 (20cm) almost square, soccer ball size
or 9x9x9 (23cm) square, basketball size
1-yard (or 1m) fabric for outer purse, straps, and optional flap or outer pocket. More may be needed for directional fabric, or fussy cutting the design.
3/4-yard (or cm) fabric for the lining.
6-inch (13 cm) square scraps for inner pocket (2 for one pocket, 4 for 2 pockets).
3/4 yard (1/2 meter) fusible fleece or batting scraps.
3/4 yard (1/2 meter) iron on interfacing.
Cording for fastening, about 4 inches (10 cm) and
Large glass bead or shank button (1/2 inch or more, 2cm) for closure, and Button Twist or strong thread to attach it.
OR for flap closure 1 magnetic clasp.
Velcro for closing inner pocket and/or strap closures (2 inches, 5cm).
